Letting Go
The Process of Grieving - Work through the denial that hides the anger.
- Work through the anger that hides the hurt.
- Work through the hurt that hides the loneliness.
- Work through the loss and loneliness that hides the lack of self worth.
- Work through the lack of self worth that hides the total confusion.
- Work through the total confusion that hides our unwillingness to give up our own control and our unwillingness to surrender our lives to a Higher Power.

For Those I Love and Those Who Love Me When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears; Be happy that we had so many years. I have you my love. You can only guess How much you gave me happiness. I thank you for the love you all have shown, But now it's time I travelled on alone. Grieve a while for me, if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on; So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All of my love around you, soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and "Welcome Home." |

O' Divine Master Grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled, as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. It is in dying that we are born to eternal life. ~ St. Francis of Assisi |

Miss Me ... But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rite in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss Me a Little - But Not Too Long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that we once shared
Miss Me ... But Let Me Go.
For this is a journey that we all must take And each must go alone It's all a part of the Master's plan A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart Go to the friends we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss Me ... But Let Me Go. |

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the gentle autumn rain, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. So do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die. |

Words to Consider
"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly." ~ Richard Back |

When I Must Leave YouWhen I must leave you For a little while - Please do not grieve And shed wild tears And Hug your sorrow to you Through the years, But start out bravely With a gallant smile; And for my sake And in my name Live on and do All things the same, Feed not your loneliness On empty days, But fill each waking hour In useful ways, Reach out your hand In comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you And hold you ever near And never, never Be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky! |

How Great The Yield From A Fertile FieldThe farmer ploughs through the fields of green And the blade of the plough is sharp and keen, But the seed must be sown to bring forth grain, For nothing is born without suffering and pain. And God never ploughs in the soul of man Without intention and purpose and plan, So whenever you feel the plough's sharp blade Let not your heart be sorely afraid For, like the farmer God chooses a field From which He expects an excellent yield So rejoice though your heart is broken in two God seeks to bring forth a rich harvest in you. ~ Helen Steiner Rice |

After A WhileAfter a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul and you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't always mean security and you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises and you begin to accept your defeats with the grace of a woman not the grief of a child and you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight ~ After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much so you plant your own garden and decorate you own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers and you learn that you really can endure that you really are strong and you really do have worth and you learn and you learn with every good-bye you learn. |

God saw you getting tired, And the cure was not to be So he wrapped you in his loving arms And whispered, "Come with me." You suffered much in silence Your spirit did not bend You faced your pain with courage Until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us Your fight was all in vain God took you in his loving arms And saved you from all pain. |

Heaven's gate swung gently open, The Master called softly, "Come," And you, dear one, took the Master's hand, And your work on earth was done. We'll never cease to miss you, And shed many silent tears, Because we cannot share with you Our hopes, our joys, our fears. But one day, in God's garden, When the Master calls us to come, You'll be at the gates with open arms And say to us, "Welcome Home!" |

Christmas in Heaven ~Anonymous I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below With tiny lights, like heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow. The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear, For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear, But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here. I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring, For it is beyond description to hear the angels sing. I know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside your heart, but I am not so far away, we really aren't apart. So be happy for me dear ones. You know I hold you dear, And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I send you each a special gift from my heaven above, I send you each a memory of my undying love. After all "Love" is the gift, more precious than pure gold, It was always most important in the stories Jesus told. Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do, For I can't count the blessings of love he has for you. So, have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear. Remember, I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. |

Today I awoke and you Were not there I came calling and found Only a part of you So I will give this gift I will capture today Until you return And hold my hand.

I am home in Heaven, dear ones Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly Trod the valley of the shade? Oh! But Jesus' love illumined Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me In that way so hard to tread; And with Jesus' arm to lean on, Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still: Try to look beyond earth's shadows, Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand; Do it now, while life remaineth- You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh, the joy to see you come! |

BE STRONG
Be strong in love, O heart of mine! Live not for self alone, But find, in blessing other lives, Completeness for thine own. Seek every hungering heart to feed, Each saddened heart to cheer; And when stern justice stands aloof, In pity thou draw near. Kind loving words and helping hands Have won more souls for heaven Then all the dogmas and the creeds By priests and sages given.
Be strong to hope, O heart of mine! Look not on life's dark side; For just beyond these gloomy hours Rich, radiant days abide.
Let hope, like summer's rainbow Bright, Scatter thy falling tears; And let God's special promises Dispel all anxious fears. To every grief a Lethe comes, For every toil a rest; So hope, so love, so patient bear- God doeth all things best. |

God Looked Around
God looked around his garden And found an empty space; He then looked down upon this earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest; God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain He knew you might never Get well upon this earth again He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb, So he closed your weary eyelids And whispered, "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you, But you never went alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. |

DON'T BE DISMAYED
Don't be dismayed at good-byes. a farewell is necessary before you can meet again.
And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends. |
